Natural Stainless has been referred to as an “honest” product.

We’ve offered it from day one here at Millennium Forms, naming our company based on its proven reliability and endurance. Stainless began to grace some monumental structures in the late 1920’s such as the Chrysler building in New York City, which is still beautiful after more than 90 years. Stainless Steel has outstanding physical characteristics that make it one of the most durable materials for roof or wall applications. Our standard alloys are Type 304 and Type 316. Other possible alloys include 444 and 2205.

Standard Alloys

304

Type 304 alloy, also known as 18-8, exhibits excellent corrosion resistance to a wide range of atmospheric exposures. An austenitic stainless, T304 contains around 8% nickel and 18% chromium. Type 304 is our standard alloy.

316

Type 316 contains molybdenum, which increases corrosion and pitting resistance from chloride ion solutions. T316, also an austenitic stainless, contains around 10% nickel and 18% chromium. Type 316 material is priced at a premium due to its higher nickel content. There is an extended lead time for projects specifying T316.

444

Type 444 is a low-carbon ferritic stainless with pitting and crevice corrosion resistance superior to most ferritic stainless steels. There is an extended lead time for projects specifying T444.

2205

Type 2205 is a ferritic-austenitic duplex stainless steel providing high strength, excellent corrosion cracking and pitting resistance. The corrosion and pitting resistance is superior to Types 304 and 316. T2205 material is priced at a premium and has an extended lead time.
